I love smoothies! And although a green vegetable smoothie may be very healthy, I often gravitate towards creamy fruitier smoothies. To make my smoothies extra creamy I like to use frozen bananas and/or coconut milk.
*About freezing bananas: If you’re going to freeze bananas, make sure to peel them first. May sound logical, but I’ve actually done it with peel and let me tell you, it’s way easier to peel them beforehand! Break them in pieces before freezing them, so that they’ll easily fit in your blender. Breaking a frozen banana is a bit challenging. I usually half them, but smaller pieces is possible too and even better if your blender is less strong. Keep the frozen bananas in a ziplock bag (I wash mine and re-use them) or a plastic container. Don’t stack too many, as they can get very stuck in a lump. Fronzen bananas are incredibly useful to always have in your freezer and are a perfect way yo use ripe bananas! Tip: they make great ice cream too!
